WHITE WINE NEIGE D'OR 'LES CRETES
WHITE WINE NEIGE D'OR 'LES CRETES
The white "Neige d'Or" is the result of a winery that has
made the history of the Aosta Valley wine."Neige d'Or" Les
Cretes is a recent creation of the famous Aosta Valley
winery, which wanted to create a prestigious label, capable
of expressing the extraordinary vocation of the area for
great whites. Born in 2015 , it is an assembly based on
Petite Arvine, the historic grape variety of the area,
imported from the nearby Canton of Valais, completed with the
rich softness of Pinot Grigio and the floral and fruity
elegance of Chardonnay. The vinification in wood gives
harmony and maturity, always supported by the typical
freshness of mountain whites. The morainic soils, rich in
sands and pebbles, and the very cool climate, are perfect for
white berried grapes. Fermentation takes place partly in 30-
hectolitre oak vats and partly in 300-liter French oak
barrels. The wine ages in wood on the lees for about a year
and ages for 18 months in the bottle.
The color is straw yellow with greenish reflections
Scent intense, refined, notes of white pulp fruit, wild
flowers and , mountain herbs.
Taste Consistent, enveloping, complex, mineral and with an
excellent persistence finish.
